One of the hippest neighbourhoods in Lisbon, Príncipe Real is only a 10 minute walk from The Vintage.
There is so much to experience, from quirky little craft shops to restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. Not to mention the beautiful garden in the main square, where locals and tourists alike stop by to enjoy its kiosks and cafes.

Our Favourite Shops
The chic vibe of the neighbourhood is evident by the number of trendy independent businesses that have set up shop here. We highly recommend that you visit Embaixada – an historic Arabian-style palace. Now home to design and concept stores, independent boutiques, restaurants and local artists and designers.
Bernardo Atelier Lisboa and Solar Antiques are definitely worth a visit as well.
Our favourite restaurants in Príncipe Real
You will find options from all over the world, with restaurants ranging from Italian (like Pizza a Pezzi) to Lebanese (Sumaya, where most of the recipes derive from the owner’s granny). Our absolute favourite in Príncipe Real is A Cevicheria. You might have to wait for a table but you’ll thank us later for celebrity chef Kiko’s perfect speciality dishes and ‘pisco sour’ cocktails.
There is also a farmer’s market, Mercados Agrobio, that takes place in the main square every Saturday. A great place to browse, wonder and maybe take home a bottle of natural wine.
Late night places
And finally, we couldn’t talk about Príncipe Real without mentioning its nightlife. With its own unique bohemian spirit, this neighbourhood has a vibe like nowhere else in town.
Two of our team’s favourite cocktail places feature proper art deco style – Foxtrot and Pavilhão Chinês are vintage icons in Lisbon. At the former you will be greeted by a polite uniformed doorman, and the latter’s owner has filled the space to the brim with his own collection of figurines, china plates and curios.
And if you’re in the mood to keep going until dawn, Trumps is the place to dance. There is also bar TR3S, the self proclaimed “home of the bears”, and nearby you’ll find men-only mega-club Construction.
